NFTs seemed to first become a phenomenon in 2021, with some people saying they would have a huge future, while others claimed they would be a short term fad that offered the wealthy an opportunity to waste a lot of money.
This is a short dictation and you'll learn that the "F" in NFT stands for "fungible". That's not a commonly used word by any stretch of the imagination and the dictation contains a simple definition and there's another one here.
- (of goods contracted for without an individual specimen being specified) replaceable by another identical item; mutually interchangeable.E.g. it is by no means the world's only fungible commodity

Listen to the complete text from start to finish.
NFT is an acronym for Non-Fungible Token. A currency like the US dollar is said to be fungible. This means that it has a set value so it is easy to exchange two $5 notes for a $10 note. NFTs have no set value. It is also common for them to have no physical existence. The majority of NFTs are digital items, such as images or audio tracks. The buyer of these NFTs becomes the registered owner of the digital item, but they usually do not receive anything else.
Now listen to the slower version and type what you hear into the text box.
