Listen to the complete text from start to finish.
The story of the ant and the grasshopper is about two very different creatures. The ant worked hard all summer to save food for the cold winter months while the grasshopper just enjoyed himself and lived his life like there was no tomorrow. Come winter, the ant had a supply of food to last all winter, but the grasshopper had no food to eat. The ant was able to survive the winter season while the grasshopper starved.
The story tells us that there's a time for work and a time for pleasure. We want to be like the ant and not like the grasshopper!
Now listen to the slower version and type what you hear into the text box.
