Apparently, rock concerts generally register noise levels of between 90 and 120 decibels. Considering noise levels over 85 decibels are considered harmful to human hearing, rock concerts might not be a good idea.
Despite that they continue to be hugely popular and it's probably unsurprising as they bring an excitement to music that can't be experienced by just playing an audio track.
This short dictation centers around a fictional character who is a big fan of live rock concerts.

Listen to the complete text from start to finish.
I absolutely love rock concerts. I have always loved rock music and ever since I was a child I have found it fascinating to watch musicians playing and singing. When I go to rock concerts I always sing along loudly to the music and I usually dance (sometimes badly) with my friends. When I go to rock concerts, I prefer to go to large stadiums because the atmosphere is better with lots of people. Next year I am going to a big rock concert in my town - I can't wait!
Now listen to the slower version and type what you hear into the text box.
